The Stark Stage at Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach is more than just a venue; it’s a hub of vibrant creativity and unforgettable moments. Back in 2018, it hosted a pretty historic event when Lin-Manuel Miranda held a secret rehearsal for his then-new musical In the Heights before it hit Broadway, giving local audiences a rare glimpse into the magic behind the scenes. Over the years, this space has really stepped up its game, especially with initiatives like free seasonal drama workshops for underserved youth, which started gaining ground around 2017. Imagine kids from all walks of life discovering their love for theater right here, inspired by the same stage that once prepared Miranda’s groundbreaking work.
